The fit to work of the healthcare workers represent an issue with a growing negative impact on the organization of public hospitals, worsen by the turn over block and the increase in the age of the workers. The involvement of the occupational physician in a team focused on the management of the phenomenon was highlighted as a priority; the communication problems have been identified as crucial. To review experiences in different hospitals may be useful to improve the strategies and to specify the competence of the occupational physician.
